You Suck is a novel about two young adults who are deeply in love with each other in San Francisco, however the two protagonists Thomas Flood, a very awkward and some would say a book-wormish 19 year old and his girlfriend Jody, the sexy, slightly more matured and seasoned, are blood sucking vampires. Jody was changed into a vampire by an evil vampire named Elijah, who Thomas and his kooky gang of friends had captured in order to save Jody. Thomas and Jody think that they can go about their lives as planned until the Elijah is set free and begins to wreck havoc in their lives, now they must figure out how to save their lives while many different obstacles arise at every turn.
This witty and sharply hilarious take on the vampire love story is a must read. I started reading it not expecting much from it and what I got in return was hilariously refreshing. The characters attitudes and stories are raw, Christopher really doesn’t hold back in his writing he makes you feel like you are the one living the situation and everything the characters say are exactly what you would utter from your own mouth in that same situation. The story could not have survived without the trust sidekick Abby Normal. She offered a bizarre yet refreshing way of approaching things, that is if you are a 14 year old girl obsessed with vampires. With out Abby this book could have been another vampire love sick story ever read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has a sense of humor and looking for an easy read because you will start it and never want to put it back down.
